The signing ceremony of "Dual Parks - Dual Headquarters " Base of Geely Auto High-tech Valley was held at Sanya on May 18th. It is the Key Project between Sanya Central Business District of Hainan Free Trade Port and Geely International Holdings (Malaysia) SDN.BHD (GIHM). Zhou Hongbo, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Sanya Municipal Committee, and Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group were present at the ceremony.
On the site, Sanya Central Business District signed the strategic cooperation agreement with GIHM. The two parties will give full play to their respective advantages to co-construct the "Dual Parks - Dual Headquarters " Base, which relies on the Automotive Hi-Tech Valley Project (AHTV) with Geely’s participation in its construction. Sanya Central Business District will provide the fund setting-up support, specialized policy and other services to give impetus to the landing of upstream and downstream supply train enterprises driven by Geely’ AHTV Project in the Technology Park. The “Dual Parks - Dual Headquarters” Base will contribute to the enhancement of the headquarter economy, modern business and trade, financial services and other related industries.
Zhou Hongbo stressed in his speech that it was vital for the Hainan Free Trade Port construction to develop vigorously the headquarter economy and build with great effort the Dual-Headquarters Base, i.e. the Headquarters Base of Chinese enterprises to go out globally and the Headquarters Base of overseas enterprises go into home market.

Li Shufu said that Hainan, being the largest free trade port in China, plays an irreplaceable role in the cooperation between China and ASEAN. Geely has rooted its business in Hainan about twenty years ago and the signing with Sanya Central Business District demonstrates the landing of Geely Auto High-tech Valley supply chain enterprises and the promise fulfilled by Geely.

Geely takes actively part in Hainan’s economic and social construction by developing University of Sanya, Caocao (Smart Ride-Hailing Company), and new energy vehicle and related industrial chain business. 2024 is the 50th anniversary of Establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. The close cooperation between Sanya Central Business District and Geely shall help to build the AHTV project into a demenstration of Sino-Malaysian Cooperation in Economy and Trade.
